Abstract.

Postpartum is a period ranging from six hours to 42 days after delivery or starting after the placenta is born and ending when the uterine organs return to their pre-pregnancy state. This study aims to determine the effect of health education on breastfeeding techniques on the knowledge of postpartum mothers in the Posyandu in the UPTD working area Poasia Health Center. This type of research is a quantitative study using a pre-experimental design with one group pre-posttest design. This research was conducted in September 2020 at UPTD Poasia Health Center. The study was conducted on 58 postpartum mothers. The results of the bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test showed that there was an effect of health education on breastfeeding techniques on the knowledge of postpartum mothers at the Posyandu in the UPTD working area Poasia Health Center with p = 0.001. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of health education on breastfeeding techniques on the knowledge of postpartum mothers in the Posyandu in the UPTD working area Poasia Health Center.
